Material overview

Flexibility across different applications.

Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) is an ethylene copolymer whose flexibility and processing behavior vary with vinyl acetate content and grade. Applications include hand grips, flexible tubing, selected filter and vacuum-cleaner components, and photovoltaic encapsulation.

Typical applications

  • Hand grips, cushioning and flexible components
  • Flexible tubing and selected filter components
  • Photovoltaic encapsulation films

Grade selection depends on the intended application and required properties.

Processing methods

01 / Molding and foaming

Producing flexible molded parts and cushioning with suitable grades.

02 / Extrusion

Producing tubing and other flexible profiles.

03 / Film extrusion and lamination

Producing films used to encapsulate photovoltaic cells with dedicated grades.
